Rosie began her working life as a lawyer. Always drawn to buildings and how they work, even in her legal career she specialised in construction law. She has also painted and attended life drawing classes at Edinburgh University, The Royal College of Art and the Ruskin School of Art. The observational skills gained from drawing and painting have helped her to develop a sophisticated sense of design and colour. She re-trained in Interior Design at KLC school in London and has worked on projects in the UK and France for over 10 years.
She has a subtle eye for making a home visually interesting, functional and comfortable, within any budget. She believes that a building should be respected and that good design is an intuitive and thought-intensive process. Wherever possible she will re-use materials and furniture in an interesting way. The most attractive homes are not forced but resonate with a sense of the people who live in them. A visually pleasing, functional environment does make a difference. However, not everyone has the time, inclination, or skill to achieve a home, which reflects their world.
This is the new online design service which Rosie offers, whatever the budget, timescale and requirement.
